California-based clothing retailer Anthropologie just proved they’re being more inclusive as they launch new plus-size line, APlus.

Anthropologie Introduces Plus-Size Line APlus

Founded in 1992, Anthropologie is one of the famous URVN brands along with equally famous brands Urban Outfitters, wedding dress haven BHLDN, and bohemian apparel store Free People. For almost three decades now, Anthropologie has catered to the needs of men and women when it comes to jewelry, home furniture, and beauty products. But we are to choose, it’s the retailer’s clothing pieces that people flock to the store for.

However, something’s lacking. Anthropologie offers everything but size-inclusivity when it comes to their clothes. While plus-size women can buy beauty products from the store, it’s not Anthropologie they can ask help from when they need to restock their wardrobe.

But this is all about change,

Just last week, the American retailer announced that they will be launching a new plus-size line. Called APlus, sometimes stylized as A+nhtropologie, it will feature pieces from the store’s Spring 2019 collection. This means it will include creations from in-house labels like Pilcro and the Letterpress, Maeve, and Essentials. It will also have clothes from outside the house, including ones from DL1961 and Cloth and Stone.

The exciting news has been met with overwhelming interest from the store’s customers and those planning to check it out for the first time. Although the whole thing sounds completely new, as this is the first time the clothing retailer is introducing a clothing line for curvy women, the store’s managing director of design, Richa Srivastava, shared that the idea isn’t exactly fresh. It has been brought up, but they needed time to actually realize the campaign. She said, “Only in the past year or so did we arrive at a place where we were confident we could execute in a considered way, and deliver a collection that would suit her wants and needs—and ultimately bring her joy.”

It did take them a long time, but Anthropologie is here and will stay to deliver only the best.

Asked about APlus. chief merchandising officer Anu Narayanan said, “We want to give every woman a wealth of options—and an experience that exceeds her expectations.

You can buy great pieces from the APlus line for as low as $48. You can purchase clothes of your choice online or visit any of the ten Anthropologie ten brick-and-mortar stores where the line will be made available.
