Plus-size fashion brand Ashley Stewart partnered with TRUE Model Management to do a model search on Instagram last year. By using the hashtag #ASTrueModel, aspiring models were able to enter the contest, which could change their lives. There was supposed to be only one winner, but the company was so pleased with the number of entries they received, they were unable to choose only one winner. The company chose two grand prize winners who won modeling contracts with TRUE Model Management and a campaign shoot with Ashley Stewart.

The campaign with the two winners was launched in July 2016. Ashley Stewart is introducing Veronica Pome’e and Tennae LaChey.  They are the winners of the Instagram contest and now they have a contract with TRUE Model Management.

Ashley Stewart chose these women because they embody what the line is all about. Let’s learn more about these gorgeous new models.

Tennae LaChey

Instagram Contest Winner

Tennae likes to say that “Beauty is one size fits all.” She is a licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist from Chicago. She’s worked in the hair and makeup industry for the past seven years, giving her clients one-of-a-kind looks. She believes that beauty has nothing to do with size and that is the inspiration for her campaign.

Her message for all women is to never give up on your dreams. Tennae has long wanted to be a model, and she’s never let anything move her from her goal. She wants to inspire and support any woman who is struggling to achieve their dream.

Veronica Pome’e

Speaking on her win, Veronica says, “To me Ashley Stewart is a feeling. A feeling of empowerment. Having the freedom to be unapologetic in the way you carry yourself because feeling beautiful, confident, and sexy is not a privilege—it’s a birthright.”

Veronica is from Perris, California. She promotes self-love and wants others to be inspired by her body positive advocacy. When she was 21 years old, she founded a movement called Change in Love USA.

Veronica Pome’e

In just three years, she has been able to organize seven charity fashion shows. She’s also partnered with nonprofit organizations like United Way and Restoring Hope. She is an inspiration to men and women and she is not afraid to speak up about having inner confidence and building self-esteem.

These women can be seen on the Ashley Stewart Web site. Using two regular plus-size women is truly a great idea. It can inspire so many to chase their dreams of one day becoming a model. It also shows consumers that these clothes are made for regular women and not just models with their glam squads.
