With the current rise of the plus-size models in the fashion industry, British television network Channel 4 has recently aired the highly anticipated documentary about the plus size industry titled, Plus Sized Wars, which gave viewers an insider’s look into what goes on behind the scenes of this rising trend.
Plus Sized Wars features several prominent plus sized personalities such as Georgina Horne, who has gained recognition on how she helped heavier women deal with their more voluptuous figures.
It also followed three well-known plus-size brands and chronicled how these fashion brands have evolved to cater to this new rise in the fashion movement. It also featured prominent plus-sized models like Tess Holliday, Danie Vanier and Callie Thorpe. One of the documentary’s main features is the overall impact of the plus-size movement not just in the fashion industry, but also in the long debated notion of what is considered to be a ‘perfect body’.
Plus Sized Wars first aired on Channel 4 in April 21.
