When she appeared on The Biggest Loser in 2006, Fiona Falkiner lost a whopping 30 kilograms (66 pounds) during her run on the popular television show.
After her time on the show, the 33-year-old has maintained a healthy lifestyle. She is an ambassador for the dating Web site eHarmony, despite the fact that she once thought she wouldn’t be able to find love because of the way she looked.
She once spoke about being told by a man she liked that she was “too fat” for him to date, which was such the heart-wrenching moment in her life that spurred her to join The Biggest Loser.
She was so ashamed by that mean insult and she carried that with her. That man should have been ashamed of being so tactless. Early in the year, Fiona was announced as the ambassador for eHarmony. It wasn’t long after that when she revealed she was happily dating.
She told Daily Mail Australia, “The time I spend with him is really lovely and we’ve been doing really fun stuff. He’s a restaurateur. One of my passions is food and I love checking out restaurants and stuff like that; so that’s definitely something we have in common.”
And to further prove wrong that man who once insulted her, she was part of Maxim magazines Hot 100 list.
Fiona Falkiner ranked 22 on the magazine’s list. At the time, she told her Instagram fans that she was “still pinching myself for making the list, an absolute thrill.”
When Fiona Falkiner first went on the Biggest Loser Australia in 2006, she wore a size 20.
She ended her run on the show fourth place wearing a size 12. Currently, she wears a size 16.
All seems to be going well for the plus-size model, and she has had success working overseas. She now hosts The Biggest Loser’s Families series.
