Aussie actress Rebel Wilson is poised to have another great year. The highly anticipated third installment of the hit film series Pitch Perfect is set to be released before the year ends, and in addition to that, Wilson also has a number of film projects on the way. But the news that has gotten Wilson’s fans most excited is her upcoming fashion brand. The comedian recently announced on her Instagram account that she was starting her own plus-size clothing line called REBEL WILSON x ANGELS.
Rebel Wilson Announces Plus-Size Clothing Line
Wilson captioned the Instagram post on July 27, 2017, with the words “I’m very excited to announce that I’m starting my own plus size clothing line called REBEL WILSON x ANGELS.” She added that more info was to be announced soon.
The Australian comedian has always been interested in fashion. She told InStyle magazine last year that she’s struggled with finding the right clothes that flatter her body type.
“I was a young woman making money, and there were no clothes to buy,” she said. “It felt like if you were over a certain size, designers didn’t care about you.”
Fans were quick to praise the star for her efforts in providing more stylish options for curvier women. But this is not the first time Wilson has dabbled in the fashion industry. Back in 2015, she partnered with Torrid to launch a special collection with the plus-size fashion brand.
Wilson plans to stick to her signature chic yet laid back style for her upcoming fashion line. She has mentioned that the pieces will more probably lean toward classic designs that range from a size 14 to 24. But don’t expect Wilson’s clothing line to be overpriced, the Night at the Museum star stated that items will be sold at department stores like Nordstrom, Dillard’s, and Lord & Taylor—and will be priced at under $100.
Wilson will be officially promoting the line this coming July, and it is set to hit stores on fall 2017. Most of the promotions will be done online with the hashtag #GetYourRebelOn. REBEL WILSON X ANGELS is a design collaboration between the actress and Mamiye Group, an Amerian manufacturing and design company behind Guess Kids and Flapdoodles.
